Day 116: Macresarf1's Year of the Apocalypse -- The News from Kent State

Rain advancing on the Bay Area all day, from the north and from the south.  Really coming down now.

I was up quite early this morning, dealing with Son Guy's SSI matter, and preparing for Granddaughter Laversa's visit.  The SSI matter was easily resolved once I found a working number for Social Security, but for reasons not clear, Laversa was a no-show.

Still we spruced up, and did lick and a promise on the apartment.  [I'm heavily into cliches tonight.]

My work for the day centered on the news that AJ Eric Holder's Justice Department had rejected the idea of re-opening the May 4, 1970, KSU Shootings.  Holder's Justice Department would typically have that reaction, but Kent State Tribunal Founder Laurel Krause, Alan Canfora, and Tom Grace [two of the people who were shot on May 4, 1970]  claim that they have even more evidence up their sleeve that might force the case to re-open.  We'll have to see. I pulled rank and wrote my first letter to the Kent Stater on the subject:

Probably not a good idea, but it's called "free expression," I suppose.

Maresarf1 would write no more this day.
