Warm day, turning cooler toward evening as the fog came in.
Son Guy went to the Emergency Room last night with his sore ribs. The Lady of the Dog did not appear to reclaim Bud E. until some time after 3 o'clock, and Guy was not back until seven this morning, and so I didn't get much sleep.
Awoke stiff and sore-eyed around 10 a.m. The war of the browsers is playing havoc with my computer. Nothing is where it was, and nothing is as it used to be. I struggled through the necessaries, and went back to bed. Guy didn't get a lot of help at the hospital, but he did have a nice long sleep afterwards.
Today is Earth Day, and that reminded me how decades ago my classes on the Coastside were instrumental in saving birds from an oil spill, an incident which was used as an example leading to the proclamation of Earth Day. Many of those Coastside kids were Environmental Heroes!
I watched MAD MEN and THE BORGIAS tonight. The former brought back memories to me of eating at Howard Johnsons along the Pennsylvania Turnpike when a teenager. Don and Sterling were going to have a lark at the original Howard Johnson's, and I suppose that the wildly popular Howard Johnsons will figure in Don's neferious back story. Don Draper is allowing his deep-seated memories to destroy his second marriage, as they probably did his first. Sterling and his wife indulged in LSD, which means the Timeline is well into the 1970's now.
In THE BORGIAS, Pope Rodrigo was pursaded to give the murdered peasant father of his daughter's child a Christian burial, though the murder had been made to look like a suicide. Hypocrisy has not changed much in 500 years!
Macresarf1 would write no more this day.
