Chapter 2 "WHAT'S WITH THE HOUSE?"
A strong, irritating light pierced my skin from the window-is it morning? I must have fallen asleep last night. I glanced at my clock. Almost 5:00 pm… talk about oversleeping. It’s a Saturday anyway, nobody cares.
“Hilda?” I called out one of the servants Auntie assigned for me.
No answer.
