A Mean S.O.B.
It's 2.30 am and I have just been wakened by the sounds of a cat fight outside my bedroom window. Talk about shock and awe. Our cat, Dusty, is the meanest S.O.B. for miles. No animal or person messes with Dusty. We got him from our local veterinarian three years ago, and he's a black and white total fighter. My daughter's friends are terrified of him. I'm allergic to him. And even our huge hound cuts him a wide berth. We live in a beautiful part of Ireland, in the heart of drumlin country. Lots of small hills, woodland, twisty roads and a lake for every head of population. There is a family of wild mink which hunts along the riverbank, and mink have a well-earned reputation as killing machines. But they're just sparring partners for Dusty. He struts around his territory with the quiet confidence of a Special Forces veteran. Small, but lethal. You have been warned.
