So... my novel "Little Jane Silver" officially comes out today. Wow. I haven't looked in bookstores yet to see it. I'll have to go tomorrow as it's too late today.
You can now order it on Amazon. I know it is orderable from Canada, the UK and the United States versions of Amazon. No word on an e-book yet.
I just got an e-mail that they've even made a TEACHER'S GUIDE for it! Unbelievable. You really know you've made it when they have a teacher's guide out on your book. As a trained primary school teacher myself I am well chuffed at thist development, as they used to say in London!
I've been busy lately trying to send copies to everyone I know all around the world. So far I've mailed copies to Australia, England and places all over the US and Canada. No calls from Iceland yet, but I'll hold the phone.
The odd thing is, I'm receiving praise for something I haven't worked on for ages. It feels rather odd. I suppose it is like this for actors when they finish a film and nobody knows about it and then a year later suddenly it's a big thing. It feels like the congratulations should come right after you complete the long slog, not so long after. It feels sort of like being congratulated for doing nothing. Odd, but still rather pleasant. Could get use to it definately:)
