Only two people are known to have ever survived a night on the Nameless Isle: Long John Silver and Bonnie Mary Bright, the parents of aspiring pirate girl Little Jane Silver.
They thought the Nameless Isle's volcanic caves would be great places to store their treasure. They thought wrong.
Now vengeful pirate-hunter Fetzcaro Madsea holds Long John and Bonnie Mary captive to serve as guides to lead him safely through the terrors of the island to their treasure. With Long John wounded and Bonnie Mary weaponless, the pirate captains risk it all in purposely leading Madsea through the most dangerous part of the island hoping to lose him.
Meanwhile, Little Jane taps long forbidden sources to commandeer a ship and assemble a ragtag crew to help her chase down Madsea and save her parents. Using knowledge of a secret route past the dangers of the island gleaned from the code on her sword, she plans to use the shortcut to reach the caves before Madsea's party does and cut them off at the pass.
Yet there are other mysterious forces at work deep inside the Nameless Isle with murky motives of their own, that even the pirates can only guess at. All they know is that somehow, it's all connected to the island's only known wildlife; the peculiar orange birds.
Can a girl in pants, a seasick bartender, a cook with a captain's license and a magistrate with a penchant for explosives discover the secret of the Nameless Isle before it's too late to save the pirate captains?
Hold fast to your courage intrepid reader and find out!
