I have exciting news I'd like to share.
My book, Press Pause Moments: Essays about Life Transitions by Women Writers, has been honored with the 2011 Clarion Award in the books & cd-roms/dvds category from the Association for Women in Communications. The book features essays by 36 women writers about their life changing transitions, including marriage, parenthood, divorce, career change, mental health, illness, etc.
The Clarion Awards is a renowned competition and highly sought after by both men and women. The Clarion Awards are named for the medieval trumpet known for its clarity and symbolize excellence in clear, concise communications. The awards annually recognize excellence in communications fields. This year's competition drew entries from 30 states, three countries, and 90 Clarion awards have been awarded.
Needless to say, the fact that an anthology has won a major award like this has put me over-the-top with excitment!
