About Me

  • A true WriMo through and through.  Writing is not my trade, however I have always enjoyed diving into the creation of spectacular fiction.  After discovering NaNoWriMo last year (2007) I just can't get enough!  I'm proud to call myself an author now; though sadly not published... yet!  You can follow my NaNoProgress on my blog: Embarking on 30 Days of Literary Abandon.

Relationship Status

  • Happily married!

Family

  • Just me, the hubby, four kitties, a Dalmatian, and a Belgian Malinois. No "human" kids yet.

Interests & Hobbies

  • Clearly, I love writing... but other than fiction, haiku is my next love.  I'm an avid reader, but unlike my writing habits I really love nonfiction.  I have an extensive library that is the bane of my husband's existence as I reorganize it from time to time rendering our library/dining room useless in the process.  I have become the family genealogist, doing quite a bit of extensive family history research.  I've joined the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution as a result, and am an organizing member of a local chapter of the Colonial Dames of the 17th-Century.  My husband and I love to travel, though we don't get to do nearly enough of it.  And since we don't have "human" children at this time, our lives virtually revolve around our dogs.

Favorite Books

  • The Book Thief, The Messenger, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Skinny Legs and All, Still Life with Woodpecker, The Inheritance Series, Harry Potter (1-7), Their Eyes Were Watching God
