About Me

• Dang, I hate talking about myself.  Okay here goes....

   I was born in Moscow Idaho in 1980 and have spent most of my life in and around the inland Northwest. I was a first child, and a Sunday's child, for those of you to whom that means anything, and I was born to a man who loves books and a woman who loves children.

  Fate it would seem, is inescapable.

  Now I write books for children and young adults, try to get them published and blog about the things I've learned.  And read.  A lot.  Like pretty much everything I can get my hands on.

Relationship Status

• I've been married to my best friend for almost a year now. He's an intelligent, caring man who shares my love of air-conditioning and old Star Trek episodes.

Family

• I have a pretty standard family group: a dad, a mom, two younger sisters, both married. We're all insane and loud and ironic, but we also laugh a LOT.

Interests & Hobbies

• Books, (writing and reading them) movies, long baths, good coffee, pasta, animals, friends and family, unicorns, dragons, and wonder.

WORK

• I've had a variety of jobs over the years to make ends meet, including hospital registrar, waitress, daycare worker and behavioral therapist’s assistant. I currently sell legally addictive, mood-altering substances to the general public. (Or if you want to be boring, I work in a coffee shop.)
