About Me
Jasmine Marie is the very official pen name for Piper Davenport (soon to be Jasmine Marie Davenport). I'm a writer from Detroit, Michigan. My interests include everything from traveling to collecting stylish decorating boxes. I'm working on a collection of novella stories, which like the majority of my work, is only half-finished. The book that best describes my life is The Tortoise and the Hare. I'm definitely like a turtle, very slow moving.

Interests & Hobbies
- Reading, writing, traveling, sitting by the water, concerts, going out to eat at nice restaurants, going to the movies. I also like collecting stylish boxes, water aerobics, lighting candles, and collecting toy/glass turtles. I LOVE to laugh. I think laughter is such an important part of life, even when I'm writing about serious things. I guess it's kind of hard for people to imagine what kinds of things that a writer likes to do in their spare time, huh? Well, news flash, people! We're normal just like everyone else except that I like to spend my days writing, sometimes in my pajamas with rollers in my hair, as opposed to sitting in a cubicle. We get paid for putting our ideas down on paper and for me, writing IS a hobby because you have to like it and you have to like other forms of writing. I like anything that allows me to write. So, just check back here for blog postings on interesting things that I like to do. So, I'm working on a novel and a collection of short fiction but I'm going to finish the novel first but in the meantime, check out the web links of some of my work. Enjoy!
