- At the point in my attempts to write Poetry when all I seem to be doing is revising, revising, revising...and then revising some more...sometimes to the point where I'm losing the original feeling altogether...don't know if that's an indication of something wrong, or if I'm expecting too much, too soon...All I know is that I'm not enjoying it much...BUT, I submitted some of my work to numerous ...

- Aloha! I returned about a week ago from 7 days back home in Hawai'i, where I went to visit family and to cool off and get away from the California heat. I know, I know, MOST people go to Hawai'i to warm up in the Winter; I go to cool off in the Summer. The Island that I visited is Lana'i, which is usually much cooler temperature-wise than most of the other Islands, and it did not disappoint. ...

- Alrighty, then. Finished my first quarter at University with a 3.75 GPA (not really that big a deal, some might say, since I was only going half-time EXCEPT that I managed to pull it off immediately after having had a major stroke, followed almost immediately by surgery on my carotid artery, and then developing a truly unpleasant case of shingles...oh, boy...). WHEW! I've GOT to be the Poster ...

- Can't seem to work up any energy to be creative the past couple of days...just barely managing to keep up with my Poetry Writing class (and that only because I went on ahead and completed several assignments in advance - just in case). Been dodging my housemates in the mornings...don't have much to say to anybody beyond the absolute minimum and some noncommital low volume grunts as I ...

- Yesterday I went to the local USDA/Brown Bag program to pick up my twice monthly free food donation. And, while I was there, a 3 pickup trucks-full donation arrived, and everyone was totally stunned at the amount of fresh veggies and fruit, meats, high quality breads , not to mention disposable diapers, toys, shampoo, light bulbs toilet paper, pet food and assorted top end goodies (frozen ...

- Yesterday I heard from folk "on the ground" - regular folk like me and you, with many of the same problems and concerns - from all over the world. I have email correspondents in Europe, Australia, Asia, Africa, Belarus, South America - and all over North America, and all are expressing their admiration for (and relief at the outcome of) the American Presidential election. And new ...

- OK, California did right in voting for Obama...Now it's time to get our b***s in gear and overturn Prop 8...before they decide we (or YOU) for whatEVER reason should to have the taking away of YOUR rights - because someone doesn't agree with the fact of who you are - made a part of the State Constitution....You think that can't happen here? It just DID... This sets a dangerous precedent ...
