In 1853, Pierre-Joseph-Guillaume Zimmermann published an arrangement of an improvisation his son-in-law, Charles Gounod, composed as a sort of descant to Bach's Prelude in C Major BWV 846, using Ave Maria as the text. Here is the music performed by the amazing Bobby McFerrin and his audience.
From Jesu der meine Seele, "Wir Eilen" isn't generally associated with Christmas, as Bach composed the Cantata for the 14th Sunday after Trinity, but these trumpets just seem to shout, "Good News!" So, here it is!
