Gary Gach: FREE NIRVANA! Buddhist Wisdom in Uncertain Times
As the winter Shopocalypse approaches, many are wondering what's on the horizon. Ancient wisdom traditions have deep resonance in these uncertain times — not that there’s more suffering than ever before but that more people are aware of suffering in uncertain times. The Buddha taught how we're capable of freeing ourselves of needless suffering, and discovering our positive potentials for great happiness and innate goodness. (¿Have you heard the saying? “Train your mind and change your brain!”) Might you already be a bit Buddhist, and not yet realize it?
Gary Gach discusses nirvana, mindfulness, everyday practice, and other topics lovingly addressed in his newly updated and thoroughly revised "Complete Idiot’s Guide to Buddhism (3rd edition). He might even share with us with some poetry from "Songs for Tomorrow", "collected poems" by Ko Un, translated from Korean, on which he's worked for ten years, and now out this year from Green Integer.
