Despondent television "set," circa 1987 deserves more grateful owners

When TV was King

Our television, the futuristically named ColorTrak 2000, has become unbearably neurotic as a result of our neglect. Surrounded by books on both sides and facing another wall of books, the television "set" passive aggressively sits there, practically asking us why we don't watch it. While we are book people, we do watch Justified on F/X, but we do so on Hulu, in the office. I'm sure the television knows about this. And the reason I'm writing this ad is that I have nothing against television. A similar one--large and square, framed dramatically in gray plastic--was a fixture of my childhood. I want this television to go to a good home. It's not done living. It works. It is a formidable entertainment machine and dates back to sometime between 1987 and 1991. Heady days and nights for television back then, and this machine will never forget its rich history and better days. ColorTrack 2000 deserves a good home with a family that loves television and is grateful for a 40" set that juts out from the wall a couple of feet. Nielsen families especially encouraged to apply. Elves who work the tubes in the back are not included. Will accept any reasonable offer. Must pick up in San Francisco.
