Do you live and write somewhere in the San Francisco Peninsula? Would you like to write in an office that contained other writers? Many fabulous writers in San Francisco rent space at the SF Writers Grotto, where writers have blossomed from working in proximity to other writers. Has it been the joy of having like-minded to rant with regularly that helped them publish? The good vibes? Or the raw competition? Whatever the case, I want to create a similar space for writers who live on the Peninsula. I'd like to find offices that a number of us can rent in an unofficial Peninsula Writers Grotto. I'm thinking Mountain View, hoping for lower rents than Palo Alto. Good cafes on Castro Street, and a Books, Inc.
Yes, we'd have to locate good space, and each rent from the owner.
Please let me know if you'd be interested, and what range of rent you'd be willing to pay for the intangible but priceless reality of being surrounded by writers, not Allstate agents. By writers I mean anyone making a living with words--writers of journalism, fiction, nonfiction, creative nonfiction, content creators, and yes, screenwriters, too.
