Bloomin' Good Book Party
'Tis the season for books to be in bloom. At least that was the case at the uber trendy Bungalow Club
on Melrose in Hollywood . . .

That was the site fellow LAYA Michael Reisman's
book launch party for Simon Bloom: The Octopus Effect
. (BTW, does anyone else always get "effect" and "affect" mixed up?) . . .
Peepy
was quite impressed by the chic-ness of the place. She also loved the food, especially the bookish cakes . . .

Later, she cornered Andrea Brown
literary agent Jamie Weiss Chilton
, and tried to wrangle book deal . . .
However, Jamie was apprehensive having heard of Peeps' run-in with Curtis Brown
agent Ginger Knowlton
when Peepy broke agent/author-to-be protocol and tried to slip Ginger a manuscript in the bathroom . . .
Meanwhile, Michael entertained us by juggling and donning his bathrobe to read from his books . . .

Above: Author Betty Birney
, on the left, was so moved by Michael's (inexplicable) Irish accent, that she began to sob and had to wipe away her tears.
Good luck with your latest Simon Bloom book, Michael!
(BTW, that's author Amy Goldman Koss
lurking in the shadows.)
