Dream Raider

I'ts been 8 weeks since the launch of Dream Raider, we have had success on our own selling the book but had not heard at all from our publisher. Now not being a big player in the market we understood that we probably would not make it into the large retail chains. (That was explained to us when we signed up.) What we were after however, was a foot in the door which we now had. We realised that mostly it was up to us once it was released but we had a plan of attack and we were ready.

After 13 years of refining we had a great cover, and a quality product that was ready to be read. A seemingly normal email from the publisher had an attatchment, it was the sales list for Dream Raider. We had broke into over 50 book stores on the strength of the cover alone, including the major chains we were told we probably wouldn't get. Not every store took copies of course but it is in their computer systems if anyone asks for it. Now that is something we can build on and perhaps gain real momentum from, so we stick to our plan of marketing and promotion and see what happens from her on in.
