- This is brought on by having completed 10 or so readings for this year, not including panels or workshops. Last year's tally was closer to 15 total and the year before that was around 8. While I'm not the greatest writer/performer on the planet, I do this enough to have strong opinions about it.Without further ado:Time yourself and stick to the time limit. If you're reading in a group, no one ...

- My first published book was an ebook collection of my erotic short fiction. I picked the publisher based not on any previous experience with them but because I liked their design sense and because they seemed like they might be a good fit. The collection was accepted and I turned out to be mostly right about the design sense. On the one hand, I got a lovely cover and the ebook looked pretty good ...

- Not written from my own experience, alas. I just ran across a blog post by Vampire romance author Lynn Viehl http://www.genreality.net/the-reality-of-a-times-bestseller Her novel "Twilight Falls" (sixth in a series) just hit #19 on the NYT bestseller list. It is some indication of the importance that the list holds in my reading life, I believe, that I have neither read Ms. Viehl's ...

- In their infinite wisdom, the folks over at Amazon.com have decided that our delicate sensibilities need to be protected from "the gay." Also the lesbian, the transgender, the bisexual, some randomly chosen het romances and the occasional work of pure filth leading to societal collapse like Lady Chatterley's Lover. - The amazing Donna George Storey was kind enough to read "Night's Kiss" and even kinder to write up a glowing review of it at Goodreads.com (see my review page). Donna is a terrific writer in her own right - her "The Amorous Woman" is one of the best erotic novels I've ever read, so this is very, very flattering. I'm put to the blush. :-D And latest interview - author ...
