Red Room Where the Writers Are

I am very disappointed in Barack Obama's recent announcement that he will continue George Bush's Faith-Based Initiative. Social Services should be handled by nonpartisan, non-religiously affiliated organizations, and allowing organizations to discriminate in hiring based on faith-based biases is not something the government should encourage. I admit that as a Democrat I have little choice in who I will vote for in the fall now that Hillary has suspended her campaign but I do not have to be happy that a supposed liberal is taking on the trappings of the right and conservatives in order to get votes. Caving to the right just allows them to steal the future that Barack could be helping to forge. I hear him talk of change but then I see him start to change into the thing we are looking to escape. Please bring back the hope that I saw earlier, not the fear that the current administration wishes to expand.
