With the end of March (and the first quarter of 2013), this pedometer geek is still working on my New Year's resolutions.  For many, the common resolutions of diet and exercise have fallen by the wayside with the delivery of Girl Scout cookies.  Don't get me wrong; I am neither anti-Thin...

As an eclectic reader who also tends to be reading three or four books at time, I always have plenty of books on my nightstand that I am about to read.  In the meantime, I also have a book in the bathroom that I am reading.  I usually have one going on my Kindle and another on my Nook....

The old year has ended; the new one has begun. However, with the ending of the old is a report on the status of the resolutions before making any new ones. To begin with, this pedometer geek managed to lose her pedometer midway through the month; thus, the step totals for December were some of the...

Having completed another of the 1001-books-you-must-read-before-you-die, I am left with a perverse mystery, or several actually.  The book, Willard and His Bowling Trophies: A Perverse Mystery by Richard Brautigan, left me hanging and with more questions than when I started. First of all, I...

My New Year's resolutions are intact, but I didn't fare so well with my pedometer resolution.  It took a nosedive last month.  I didn't put as many steps on my pedometer as I have in the past several months.  I only managed to put on a little over 215,000 steps of which over 42,000...

I continue working on my New Year's resolutions, and May was an exceptionally good month for both of them, actually.  The first resolution is to read more books, and the second is to put more steps on my pedometer. I am, after all, a pedometer geek. May was one of my best months ever in the...

As I have mentioned numerous times before, I am an avid bookcrosser and participate in various bookcrossing activities. Some of these activities include book-rings and book-rays, rabcks*, book boxes (physical and virtual), and book challenges.  The one in particular that I am referring to this...

I'm attempting to keeping my New Year's resolutions intact.  My main resolution  is to read more books than last year; the other is to increase the number of steps (preferably to 10,000 steps daily) on my pedometer.  This pedometer geek improved a bit on the number of steps in March...

New Year's Day has come and gone, and for many, so have the resolutions.  However, I am still working on my resolutions, and while not doing quite so well on my resolution to get in my 10,000 steps a day, I am getting more books read. Now that I have a new pedometer to replace the one that I...

A new year, but similar resolutions for me.  Reading more books and regularly achieving 10,000 steps per day on my pedometer are my main resolutions. (It is always easier to keep resolutions when the desire is already there, by the way.) Regardless of my reasons for choosing my resolutions,...
