It's the second of a new month. An update of gas prices and walking efforts is to be posted on the 1st of each month. I'm late, as usual.
Walking has been super, warm weather encouraging me to walk more. Flip that over, though, since we have warm weather, sunshine and the growing season, yard and...

The rain had ceased. Clouds still loitered but dispersed. Sunshine dominated as I struck out on my walk.
My spirits carried me on a fast pace. Middle Clay has little to offer as a street, suffering an existence as a broken, rough road with hapazard edges. The bike path is smooth and even in...

It's a chilly morning, 40. Rain fell all night and the sky seems ready to deliver more.
Yesterday's walk was in rain, cold, relentless drops. I went in the late afternoon, after I finished work, starting in pleasant sunshine. Half a mile in, the winds shifted. Clouds gained momentum and...

I've been tracking and commenting on local gas prices and my walking. These are my latest updates.
Gas prices haven't changed. They dropped four cents per gallon on the first day of April and have stayed at $4.43 per gallon (premium) since then. That surprised me. Be interesting to see what happens...

Thus far in 2012, I've walked all but one day. The one day I surrendered was Valentine's Day.
My average for the year fell, from 3.25 to 3 flat....

Is that a good book title, "31 Days of Walking"? It could be science fiction, fantasy, fitness (or all of those combined), stress relief, philosophy, adventure and horror, a memoir or pilgrimmage.
Anyway, I've completed January, have a certificate of completion to attest to it. Was that a...

I enjoy walking - cities, towns, villages, woods, fields, I don't care. I might feel different, no, would probably feel different if I was forced to walk to get food or water, or to find work, or if my life was miserable.
But my life isn't miserable, and hasn't been. Living down on the California...

Walking around town, doing three to five miles a day, mostly on the town's newer southern end, I see many of the same people, cars, and animals. The weather today was a respite to early winter. Weather gods are battling. Winter held the peaks above 4,000 feet last week, warning us with it snowy...
