I discovered this wonderful discussion site Kindleboards a few weeks ago. (This link takes you to the thread on my book, but of course there is loads more there.)   The downside, is it is feeding my growing appetite to actually get one of the little buggers for myself. If Amazon drops the...

I was sitting at a red light having just exited the parking gargage at work. I work at a large university and there are always kids walking in front of cars without looking as if their ipods have projected a protective bubble around them and no car can touch them. Driving on campus is...

I really liked the interview. JK seems very grounded for a celebrity billionaire. Authentic, too.   My favorite part was actually hearing that her first book tour was very hit or miss. That gives me comfort.   Usually, promotional events on my calendar turn out pretty well....

I don't believe much in hand holding.  I'm not the kind of teacher who invites students to hang out in my office so I can further edify them on all things writing and otherwise.  I am happy to listen to a thought, talk about a topic briefly, and then off you go to figure out how to achieve it. ...

The names fade faster than the faces.  Brittany.  Stephen.  Stephanie.  Courtney.   Scott.   Ryan.   The list goes on.  The last names are harder to reach in the back of your memory.   Vanderholten.  Marley.  Franks.  Schaefer.   Over time, the faces blend.  Blonde hair, black hair, red hair—a blur...
