It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.  That dichotomy might describe the pleasures and pains of sitting down to watch a two-star movie.  One wonders what those who worked on a tw0-star movie must think. Millions of dollars are spent producing Hollywood movies that regularly...

Writing Sex               I have to write a sex scene. It’s inevitable. The two characters in my novel-in-progress-slowly-taking-shape have been circling each other for pages and pages. The desire is palpable like fresh air in the room....

I have been reading Jean M. Auel's Earth Children series, beginning with Clan of the Cave Bear and continuing through all the books, now that they are out. I am halfway through The Stone Shelters and had to put it down to read a couple of books for review. I am anxious to get back to it. ...

I’ve written blogs previously on sex – for example see here.  These articles have covered the topic of how to construct a sex scene.  What is enough sex?  What is not enough sex?  Generally the focus is how to construct a sex scene. However, that begs the question of should you have sex, in your...

Sex
I often wonder when I write a blog entry if it’s the title that draws the readers or if they are showing up as a sole result of the title of the blog. I guess we’ll find out today. That having been said, I am not going to do as seen before and lead with the title “sex” and then not talk about it....

A small but perfectly formed (if I even dare say that!...) blog today: First off, am very pleased to see that my article on writing sex is now at the Strictly Writing website – so it’s the place to go for hot tips on ... um ... sex. As it were. Enjoy! Meanwhile, I’m back at work. Sneezing a lot and...
