Woke a little after ten, short of breath, dry of mouth. My right leg is fine now, but the left leg is still swollen and slightly red. My appointment at 2200 O'Farrell for a sonogram of my heart was scheduled for 1:20 p.m.

I slept amazingly late. The day was well advanced before I had anything done. Son Guy went out for provender, and returned with a variety of foods. He made me a salami, Swiss and lettuce half- sandwich for breakfast -- a possible first. I swallowed my meds, took my lung...

Last night, Wayne the K took me to see the latest edition of Nellie McKay's "I Want to Live" at Hotel Nikko's The Rrazz Room, and as a result, Son Guy, Son Jason, and I were invited back by Momma Robin Pappas for a second night of Nellie's engagement.
