With the end of March (and the first quarter of 2013), this pedometer geek is still working on my New Year's resolutions.  For many, the common resolutions of diet and exercise have fallen by the wayside with the delivery of Girl Scout cookies.  Don't get me wrong; I am neither anti-Thin...

It is now March, and I carry on with my New Year's resolutions. I was more successful with some of my resolutions than others.  First, this pedometer geek, while still somewhat slacking, managed to increase my steps from not only December's dismal numbers, but also January's step counts....

New Year’s Resolutions often hold up through January for many people, but by February most resolutions have fallen by the wayside. On the other hand, I choose resolutions that I am motivated to keep.  In my case, my resolutions are centered on two things.  The first has to do with my...

In November, I really slacked off in regards to my New Year's resolution of putting more steps on my pedometer.  To be honest, it was my worst month all year (except for January when I lost my pedometer on the tarmac in Nairobi, Kenya and I had no way to keep track).  This pedometer geek...

My Red Room statistics hit 70,000 a day ago, and I was ecstatic.  Normally, I would have blogged about it, thanking everyone who contributed to this, but decided against it this time. I must admit that seeing the quarter million hits of Christopher Meeks humbled me.  By the way,...

My New Year's resolutions took a big hit in October.  Well, my first resolution to read more books was not significantly hurt, but the totals on my pedometer really took a nosedive. October's numbers were the worst for the year (excluding January in which I had lost my pedometer and was...

With September comes fall, and generally a fall from continuing New Year's resolutions.  In one aspect, that was true.  For another, it wasn't.  My pedometer didn't get the workout that I wanted.  I wanted to make my goal of 10,000 steps every day, and 300,000 for the month, but...

New Year's resolutions continue for this pedometer geek.  As reported previously, I have two (main) resolutions.  One is to increase my daily step count; the other is to read more books than last year. April was a decent month for both of my resolutions.  With the weather being...

A new year, but similar resolutions for me.  Reading more books and regularly achieving 10,000 steps per day on my pedometer are my main resolutions. (It is always easier to keep resolutions when the desire is already there, by the way.) Regardless of my reasons for choosing my resolutions,...

I generally walk around the city (I am a pedometer geek, after all), mostly running errands like going to the post office and the library, but I also like to wander down to the park with the beach.  It is appropriately named Lakefront Park because the waters of Lake Erie butt up against it....
