When my daughter was nine or ten, while her father and I were in the midst of a divorce, she gave me a small blank book as a Mother's Day gift. "Mom, I want you to write in this every day," she said, solemnly. I found it the other day, and opened it.  There was a jagged edge of paper...

The Unseen Bean Video I fell on Friday. I've been hiking Piestewa Peak (Squaw Peak) for almost a year.  I hike the summit trail and it's taken me a long time to get up to speed.  When I first started my knees really hurt on the decent so I wore straps on my knees. Eventually I built up...

Sorry, another rant.  I know, I know.... "The only thing you care about is writing and getting published," my wife told me.   Ah, such a lovely thing to hear on a late Sunday afternoon, especially after, you know, doing a day of shopping and errands, and working on the rat problem.  ...

I want to be human, feel human.  I am alienated.  I once had, or felt that I had found my ‘god’ or what ever, which i really am not going to get into, except i’ll say, I don’t believe in god.  Anyway, so, I am feeling alienated again, alone, I am smoking a lot of pot.  I want to...

Weariness has returned, gnwing my joints.     It's work.  Life.  Stress.  Frustration. Bitterness. On demand, I am your servant.  You want fed?  Decisions, recommmendations, analysis?  Is there a problem that must be addressed? Home, work, pets, cars, family...

The rocking path I lead  Mocks my intelligence I cannot stop and stare At the top of trees Like scientists and philosophers I trudge through staircases Up Back down Where the earth found me And where I find my packs of cigarettes

I had no idea that Prairie Dawn wore days of the week underwear. She's also a Leo, her birthday is 8/3, and her mother is named Delta (making her Delta Dawn like the song).  I Googled her and found out she's pretty darn fascinating. When I was younger I was always more of a Miss Piggy...

Beautiful clear morning with a glowing periwinkle sky.  Some places post the temperatures as 25 F, others say it's up to 28 now.  Warmer than yesterday morning.   Hoarfrost haunts shadows and hollows, outlining buildings, railings and plants, defining the places where the sun failed...

Yesterday's post on the writing day didn't go through and get posted on Red Room. The Room didn't respond.  "Oops," there was an error, the system said with a giggle, trying to lighten the mood.  Guess the world wasn't meant to see that posting. Sometimes life takes turns like that....
