OK - I like this idea. Put your cursor on the cover of the eBook and you can interact with it. I also like the idea of having links to various related subjects inside a book. Perhaps even videos. Perhaps I am becoming a techno-turncoat.

Though not a route I am clamouring to take, I do have manuscripts that I might be willing to toss into the ePublishing hopper. Still, my preference is to have a solid publisher do the initial book then have it (eventually jointly) in eBook format.

I less and less believe that writing can be taught. Academic adventures seem to impose form and dilute character. Characters are the foundation of any fiction - we tell their stories. Give me three days with any aspiring author and I can indeed improve their writing abilities. But I do wonder if...

I enjoy hand-held books of actual physical substance. One sits >>> right there >>> beside my computer monitor. I have yet to purchase an eReader. I believe, as does the author of this insightful article, that solid books will survive. At worst they will become something of a niche...

The lines are getting blurred in the book world. I still prefer to go with a traditional paper publisher, but they do seem to be standing on the pier waving the future goodbye.
