Some people may have noticed I have a blog, not too many I hope, because it is filled with loren ipsum, words used by graphic designers when they don't have real text. Lorem ipsum appears to have quite an interesting history.
I rather like the look of this perhaps meaningless text so it will fill...

Once upon a time, writers and journalists wrote editorials or op-ed pieces for that special section of the paper, and then, if people wished to respond they would write a letter to the editor and hope it would get published. If the paper was the New York Times or the Washington Post, the...

A few months ago, I figured out how to put automated Google ads on my main blog over at www.ConjugateVisits.blogspot.com.
For most bloggers, it's no-brainer technology. But I still struggle to understand it.
I thought I read that payment is based on the number of times people click ads. According...

I haven't been as diligent about blogging here as I should. However, I've been blogging just about everywhere else (not that I don't love my RedRoom space...I've simply spread myself a little thin).
If you are interested, or need to kill some time, please visit my daily blog, RUAWAKE. If you are...

I maintain two blogs. It's enough. I've been asked to blog at more sites. Begged. But I won't. I'm here because I love The Red Room. I also maintain a pet-oriented blog at Blogspot. Does anyone get paid to blog? I don't and no one has offered. They've just wanted me to blog sans compensation....

It's not about the money, it really isn't.
I want readers, millions of them. I don't care if they read my books without paying for them, I don't care if they purchase a secondhand copy for which I will receive not one thin dime.
As long as people are reading my novels and stories.
That feeling......

Sometimes good things do happen....I am hoping for it to come in threes. Recently I was informed that my panel: Women Writing Desire was accepted for presentation at the AWP Conference in February (in Chicago, of all places, burrrrrr) so if any of you are planning on coming, I would love you to...

Once upon a time I had a personal blog, one of those freebies. I used a nom de plume, I obfuscated my location and personal details, and nobody read it, and I was glad.
I'm even happier that nobody read it now. I went back to find it this morning, and to my horror, I've forgotten my password to...

Flirting is fun. I think we should flirt at least once a day like eating an apple. I feel a metaphor or allegory coming on, but I want to stay focused on the fabulosity of flirting.
I flirt almost every day with the guys at the fish store. I mean the store where I buy fish to eat. I'm sort of a...
