I was reading again this morning the story of Nicodemus. You remember it, don’t you? The fellow who came to Jesus at night, full of affection for Jesus, but full of questions and confusion, too. Why at night? Why did he come at night instead of during the daylight hours? “Because he was a secret...

Today is the last day of February, and I wasn’t going to wait until March, before I shared my reflections.  After all, for those who have been following my February month of blessings; I won the Red Room Challenge! And for the first time ever, my photo made it to Red Room’s front-page news....

I've had a lot of interviews but Yuvi Zalkow, who interviewed me for The Rumpus this week, has a special quality--as a person, a writer, and an interviewer. His own writing scrapes the heart with authenticity. (See A Briliant Novel in the works at http://tinyurl.com/bqq9nwu)  As...

We’re all doing our best to be our best in business. I read everything I can get my hands on in terms of business improvement, marketing, networking, etc.  Some of us are going gangbusters in business and some of us are barely squeaking by. No matter where you are on the success scale though, there...

Putting together notes for my April 9 – 11, 2010 Autobiography workshop (Esalen). I’m in that “Gathering” stage, reading, sifting, transcribing material from a wide range of sources… some will go into the outline which I plan to share with those attending… other material will be discarded or simply...

I'm impressed. The people at Red Room really do pay attention. Almost immediately after I posted, Red Room's author liaison (Jennifer Massoni) contacted me about the 1969 problem. We spent nearly a half hour discussing Red Room, its plans, its connections to the non-profit world. Jennifer was...
