There is no way to go about this clearly subjective statement without being brutally blunt; if you are against healthcare reform than you are either wealthy, lazy or ignorant- or a combination of all.  Let’s start with the first misnomer which just floors me when the continued rhetoric flys around...

Two women are running for the post of Afghanistan’s President in the elections to be held on August 20. They announced their decision and plastered the walls with their pictures. We know that the Taliban would most certainly not appreciate this. It will be interesting to see how the US government...

“Bright Yellow Sun” Of my countrymen I dreamed, All of us looking At each other In different ways Beneath white clouds On a tiny blue planet Rotating around A bright yellow sun. Me, my fellow Americans And all creatures: Laughing, crying, Hurting? And Loving? We spin And the rotation Is felt From...

In Armonk, New York, where I was raised, we celebrated the Fourth of July in the most traditional of ways: standing alongside Route 128, the road to Mount Kisco and Main Street all rolled into one, waving little American flags and watching the veterans, the baton twirlers, the volunteer fire...

Happy 4th of July! Today, one of my favorite patriotic songs and a few images from this country that I love... My country, ’tis of thee, Sweet land of liberty, Of thee I sing; Land where my fathers died, Land of the pilgrims’ pride, From every mountainside, Let freedom ring!  For more celebration...
