In November I participated in National Novel Writing month, or NaNoWriMo. And guess what? I actually finished. For those that don't know NaNoWriMo is a challenge to write a 50,000 word manuscript in one month. I think I ended up topping out at somewhere between 51, and 52...

November got sidetracked by an emergency trip to Ohio, after my dad (who'd been in and out of the emergency room for weeks) was finally sent to the Cleveland Clinic. In Ohio, they didn't do the valve replacement that he needs, but the cardioplasty they did do got his heart functioning again...

Okay - it's that time of the year - and some of us (not me, but some of us) are trying to write a novel in a month. Does anyone know the averge number of writers who join in this each year, as well as the number of novels that actually get published within four years of the writing. I would love to...
