Influences

• There are so many great writers, it's impossible to name them all, but I hope that in my poetry, readers can see glimpses of Anne Sexton, Anne Carson, Eavan Boland, and Richard Jackson.

  In fiction, I would be pleased if readers can spot moments that remind them of Lorrie Moore and Ellen Gilchrist.

Favorite Books

• This is always a dangerous question to ask a writer. My first graduate degree is specializing in 19th Century British literature, so that explains some of my answers: Middlemarch and Wuthering Heights for that era.
