Grace Paley
Leora Skolkin-Smith has received grants from The New York State Council on the Arts, The Department of Cultural affairs, Patricia Kind Foundation, Robert Gage Foundation, The Millay Colony for the Arts, The Vermont Studio Center, PEN American Center, and Art-Without-Walls. She was awarded a Teaching Fellowship for graduate work at Sarah Lawrence College where she holds a BA and MFA in writing. A Pushcart Prize nominee, Skolkin-Smith’s writing has appeared in Persea: An International Review and The Sarah Lawrence Review.
Her first novel was published and edited by Grace Paley for "Glad Day Books"
