Biography

My historical novel, Kill-Grief, was published on 16 April 2009.

I wrote it during spare moments in an aimless career path that included working in an NHS complaints department, a Christmas tree farm, a National Trust house supposedly haunted by Disraeli, and a charity focused on the Middle East.

I now stay at home looking after my two-year-old son and working on my second book, provisionally titled For the Love of Freaks,  about a struggling young sideshow exhibitor and a charlatan doctor in Victorian Liverpool.

Other than writing and motherhood, I spend time looking after my three Arab horses and the most bone-idle Staffie in the world.
