Biography BEVERLEY BIE BRAHIC lives in Paris and Stanford, California; she was born in Canada. A poet and translator, her work has appeared in Colorado Review, Fence, Notre Dame ReviewPoetry, The Southern Review, The Times Literary Supplement, Poetry Wales, Poetry Review, Verse, Verse Daily, and elsewhere. She is the recipient of a Canada Council for the Arts Grant for poetry, and a residency at Yaddo; her first collection of poems, Against Gravity, was published by Worple Press in England in 2005. Her translations of works by Hélène Cixous, Jacques Derrida, Julia Kristeva and Francis Ponge have been published by Columbia, Edinburgh, Fordham and Northwestern University Presses, by Polity Press and by CBeditions in London.
